T-Levels were introduced in 2020 as a new flagship qualification inspired by and designed for industry. The sector specific subjects came in waves, with Digital being one of the first offered. Digital itself was divided into Software Development, Support and Security and Data. In addition, there are T-Levels in Science, Child Care, Health etc.

UCSCG embraced these T-Levels from day one as a way to encourage and inspire students into their chosen field of interest. The T-Levels are not an easy option and students fully earn their 3 A levels worth of knowledge and experience.

The other key strength of T-Levels is their Industry Placement. In addition to the academic rigour that students experience on the course, they also spend 45 days in their chosen industry to develop soft skills and on the job understandings that can’t be taught in a classroom. These set them apart from their A Level colleagues.
